Eyeliner

Exams are finally over for me!! W000t w000t.. I celebrated it by watching Kungfu Panda last night. The panda is IMO the most adorable character ever.. Gah! I just wanna cuddle it till it cant breathe hehe. Its the best animated movie since Madagascar... very highly recommended!

Anyway, I owe my friend a post on eyeliner.. so here it goes..

With eyeliner, I recommend using the mechanical one for new users cos it is really easy. I like Revlon eyeliners. It slides easily, stays on for a long time and it got sharpener on the end.. so it is very convenient. When putting on eyeliner, do it in one stroke as close as possible to the lashline. I like to do it on both upper and lower lashlines but only when I dont have those ugly eyebags cos eyeliner on the lower lashline emphasizes the eyebags.. not a pretty look :/ Anyway, the trick to put on eyeliner is to rest the elbow on a sturdy surface to steady the hand and stretch the outer corner of the eye horizontally a bit then line the lashline :) Also, with the lower lashline, once you are done lining it, close your eyes as hard as you can to get the eyeliner into the lower rim of your eyes and walla.. pretty eyes! :)

Adore: Revlon mechanical pencils, Clinique cream shaper and prestige pencils

Another alternative is using eyeshadow as eyeliner. It's something I've been practising lately cos I get bored with neutral eyeliners and I love bright makeup. You need a mixing medium for this one as well as a tapered angled eye brush.

Mixing medium:
1 part of glycerine (you can get this in pharmacy, it's good for hydrating the skin)
3 parts water
- mixed them in a small container. You dont need much for this so it is best to do it in very small quantity.

So what you need to do is dip the tip of the eye brush into the mixing medium then use the brush to pick up some eyeshadow and line your lashlines with the brush.

Mixing medium is not only useful to turn your eyeshadow into eyeliner but you can also use it to make the colour of the eyeshadow more vibrant and stays on longer especially mineral eyeshadows. Speaking of mineral eyeshadows, I am actually waiting for my mineral eyeshadow samples to arrive. I bought heaps of them from http://www.theshespace.com/ It only costs US$0.50 per sample and the shipping price is quite cheap. I am pretty sure they ship to Brunei so give it a go :)
